Christmas Meet 2014

I didn't take alot of photos as its hard work when your on crutches (yes I fell over and tore the ligaments in my ankle). Heres what I did take.

Hi Everyone. Here is a little write up of the meet.



Friday



After spending many hours with Niall and Fooby the forum was finally back up and working. Doritos and Dips eaten we met up with Jonny & Poodle and drove the final hour to the Premier Inn. An hour, a quarter of a tank and many pops,bangs and flames later we arrived. Many people had already arrived and having found the Premier Inn attached pub was fully booked went to a harvester a few miles away. We checked in and went to our rooms. Unfortunately Stephen was already at the Harvester with our room key so I had to leave my belongings in Nialls room. 







Immediately after dropping our things we got a call from DumDum. 'Ive broken my ankle, can you take me to the hospital please?'. After arguing that he should call an ambulance Niall and I took DumDum to the hospital. Amazingly with an A&E there wasnt an obvious entrance so we just left him with one of the ambulance drivers who assisted him limping in. We then popped in a the pub to see the others and reserve a table before driving back to the Premier Inn to meet Fooby and co. 



Another drive later the whole club was sat down in a harvester eating some good food with terrible service. Fooby asked what Ale they had and the girl said she didnt know if they had it and she had never heard of a drink called Ale. A double facepalm later we ordered some drinks and she came back twice to say they didnt actually have what she had offered us. Three starters for £10 actually turned out to be 2 before your main and 1 after. Couldnt believe we paid for it really. What made it worthwhile was that it was Foobys Birthday so he got a desert (which didnt come with a spoon) with candles and Happy Birthday sung from all of us and all the pub staff. Congratulations buddy. Hope you enjoyed it! 



Everyone begrudgingly paid and we went back to the premier inn so that everyone could meet in one room and watch Niall and Ruan in the bed. It was very odd and Stephen and I ended up going to bed.

Saturday





Stephen and I had a lovely lay in together. Before we knew it it was 10.30. We escaped outside to find some odd people hanging around cars. Road trip time! Stephen left the MG (some head gasket related problem) and we went for a drive. Not sure where we actually went but it was 2 hours and another quarter of a tank of fuel. Highlights included getting lost and parking in a garden centre, Connor in his diesel showing up a brass band. Personal highlight was driving through a field of sheep looking in the rear view watching ginge laughing when as car banged and sent the entire flock running.



Also somebody who will remain nameless had a little bit of a hoon and ended up making some new friends...







We returned to the premier inn and had the car meet. At this point Ginge, Stephen and I decided to go and clean our cars and grab a meal deal. Some dickhead took 25 minutes to clean his new clio and it was still dirty when he finished. I cleaned the 1.8 and both Stephen and Ginge lost their load over the MG. 













Back to the meet we went and it had happened! Managed to catch ZX Volcane before he left. Sorry I missed you! Pebbles turned up on his crotch rocket. As if by magic we all drove to Frankie and Bennies. Everyone got lost but eventually made it there. Pizza ordered and eaten followed by a shared Sundae for me and Stephen. Everyone drove back to the Premier Inn and we stood and looked at cars before having the awards ceremony.

Saturday evening happened too. Its a little known fact but it was actually Niall who got Sian first before getting with Stephen. What a slut he is. There was also Air Hockey. In order to maximise both credit and fun we played doubles and then triples. This made it far more dangerous that normal! We got some shoes and Ruan got some size 15 flippers. Some people got food and we managed to get an entire areas to ourselves. Niall, Liam, Stephen and I all went and played on a bike game but Stephens accelerator was broken so he lost. I won which comes as no surprise with our track record! 





















Half 9 came and it was finally our turn on the bowling lanes. Lanes 17 through to 20 were 306oc. What can I say? Some people like Liam were great. Some people like Niall (neil) were crap and had their go taken by other people. Eventually our machine and Sians was backed up and was full of pins and balls. 







At some point bubbles and planes appeared and Pebbles got to work explaining the high tech aircraft to the confused Niall.















After bowling and pool we retired back to the travel lodge. Some of the older kids went clubbing but the coolest ones played Mario Kart Double Dash in DumDums vacant room. An hour later and the Premier Inn got a few complaints so we had to leave the room and go to bed but not before Stephen destroyed the toilet. The guy was probably a bit shocked to find 12 people in one room playing gamecube at 1 in the morning.

Sunday



I had to be back in felixstowe for 1.30 so we had a breakfast and I said bye to everyone. Stephen got fraped that he had crashed his Rover. Most people were sad it was a frape! However I did have a sneaky fly around the car park with the quadcopter when nobody was around. Footage coming soon! Specially for Stephen I spotted this MG on the way back.







Brilliant weekend all and great to get to know everyone a bit better! Bring on next year!

Nope, I told you I wasn't. It took me a month not to post you an inlet gasket when I was able bodied? You'd be waiting on me till FCS if I brought them back with me. I think Ruan was drunk when I suggested it to him.

Maybe you should have ridden that high horse of yours to the meet and got them yourself.

Who's was the cider moonstone then? Thought it didn't look like connors reg when I saw the pic yesterday lol. It does prove how useful a rear wiper is though, wouldn't wanna be reversing with that visibilty haha.

That was Jonny writing on Matt's car, it was also Jonny writing on Rowell's car, but Rowell doesn't seem to have found any pictures of that..? Am quite surprised since he drove round Gloucester for a few hours on Sunday, through various towns packed with offended old people and confused children, advertising his preference for rough buttsex.

Connor's quest for cider involved asking the waitress what cider they have....she says: "Strongbow or magners"

he wasn't amused.
