just bear in mind that the ratchets are not covered under their guarantee.. i have had mine for over 10 years and it has had some abuse.. hammer, rediculous externder bars etc.. never faulted.
Given the choice between Niall and the sheep. I would choose the sheep!

I've never seen the 200pc below £125 yet. That's what I paid and got some back through topcashback. It was slightly more expensive on trade as well.

trade card does not discount sale prices!
it only discounts off retail prices but sometimes it can be better than sale prices its always worth to check before purchase, as if you use trade card on sale prices sometimes it rings more expensive

I've got a ratchet spanner set that I bought with some Halfords vouchers I won from one of those people that accost you to do a survey they've been very good and reliable... Also some of the screwdrivers although the screwdrivers are "advanced" rather than their professional and a friend managed to twist one of the blades on one of the smaller flat bladed ones
Oh and I did buy a gert long 30mm spanner ages ago that's been used a fair few times and still looks new so quite pleased with that...
Wouldn't mind the black version of their toolboxes

will have to look for the receipt, I'm not too worried anyway as its one of the least used ones, my mate was trying to undo a seized screw at the scrapyard and somehow it just twisted

well it depends which store I go to, the manager at one of the 2 closest ones is a right c unit...
I was with a mate who'd broken his torque wrench (the square drive had snapped off) and he was adamant that we needed a receipt even though it wasn't very old, clearly said "Halfords" down the side of it and he still had it in the tube it comes in... (later found the receipt)
It ended up with us taking him to their tool cabinet which had the policy on the glass and asking him to point out where it stated on that or on the product anything about a receipt...
He did replace it but made a big deal of "just this once, I won't do it again"

I quite like teng stuff, much more reasonably priced and far better no quibble replacement policy(than snap-on), got 3 of their torque wrenches in varying sizes, a small socket set (1/4) that I keep in the car and I got my dad a 3/4 ratchet and socket rail with hex sockets ages ago and he's been very happy with them (he already had various teng stuff too)

Great set, I've had mine ten years and I've had about 5 different ratchets after I got a bit excited with a scaffold bar.
I highly recommend getting a breaker bar to save your ratchets even if they are covered. Makes life a lot easier.

Ive had my 150 piece kit for a few years now. Its absolutely fantastic and has everything. This was back in the time when the spanners were open and ring at one end. All your ratcheted spanners were separate and double ended ratchets.

Woah there. You're saying that the rachet mech is now covered ? So no more having to buy a new mech ?
Are they planning to swap the whole tool, or just give out a free mech to DIY replace do you know ?
One of mine is due a replacement....
I've got a rachet spanner in a 10mm that I actually bent the end of the spanner to a nice curve. I never replaced it as it's actually bloody handy being curved. Tho I'd love to do it to the others I'm sure it was pure fluke it didn't snap and couldn't be repeated
Can't fault the tools. But the replacement receipt thingy has been a royal PITA at times.
Some of my stuff came off ebay quite cheaply and BNIB. You have to wonder if they did it as stuff went walkies with ex employees...
