Ive seen a lot of people get rid of the tacky chrome bonnet badge and respray it with a nice grey or black ect, how do you go about this?

Open the bonnet, 2x 10mm nuts on the back, remove and then give the plastic a key, plastic primer, your chosen colour (gloss/matt/satin) and then a lacquer in your chosen finish.

Key = rough it up
Just light grade sandpaper to take the shine off it so the paint sticks better basically.

If you dont have any sandpaper a sponge with a green scourer pad thing on it will work.. Not that ive ever done that lol

Would that be the same for the rear boot?

Yeah you can do the same with the rear badge, it might want some gentle persuasion to seperate it from the lock mechanism, but it can be done.

I never done this with mine, looks like my badge will be flaked.. im no good when it comes to sandpaper, I had mucked up one of my interior part, I will have to get a new one and try again on it..
