Hi all,
Been a while since i was actively posting on here after pugfest due too changing jobs etc so heres my new daily drive...
Tis Razorback Robs old X reg 5dr HDi LX in Moonstone
Here it was the day i picked it up:
It now has the following good bits:
Stage 1 map (smokey)
Hoffman decat
Straight through exhaust
GTi6 front brakes
GTi6 frot suspension
Sachs gas rear dampers
And the bodywork is suprisingly tidy for a 192k base model HDi
So after a week of driving it with a shitload of knocking suspension and really soggy rear suspension me and zakk got it in his workshop on the ramp for a goold ol 306 themed evening!
Decat:
New shockers:
And we found all the knocking to be from a threaded bolt on the drivers side wishbone! All sorted now zakk even found the time too graffiti my car...
After it performing so well following this i decided to treat it too a small scrub up...
Looks alot better than how it usually looks
So as always i want more power and more essentially, more driveability! With me now working for a breakers yard its alot easier to come across parts ad alot cheaper if i want them for myself! So far the plan is to make a cheapo stage 2+ VNT setup and cobble it together and see whats possible and how reliable it is.
Managed to grab some bits from a 406 HDi that came in.
Cleaned up and decoked inlet elbow:
Got a few more odds and sods but no pics yet.
Matt

I thought you may approve of this recent life choice Thank you very much for the PM, sure you shall be hearing from me soon
I also found a gt1749va from a 130 TDi VW passat at work hoping i can rustle up something, especially as i now have an enormous man cave to fill with peugeots!
Think theres just about enough room too squeeze 3x 306's in here

Slight update too this..
So the clutch cable snapped on me on my way home from work the same day i ordered the new cable so i tought too myself "im here at the roadside with no clutch and have a brand new cable.. whats the worst that could happen?"
Yeah.. was at the roadside for roughly 4 hours fixing the clutch cable then noticed my high pressure derv line was split and leaking diesel everywhere!
All bodged now though
So new shiny bits...

Well my weekend last week was well and truly f**ked.
Firstly some little chief put his fist through my window on saturday night.
And secondly the rallye got damaged sunday evening but i'll keep that to the rallye thread.
Window all fixed now and didnt cost me anything but still cheesed off about it.

Bit of a bugger about the window getting smashed. Would of liked to think if there where kind enough to smash your window they could of also cleared the rubbish from out your car

Good job new doors are cheap enough. Not much wiring to mess with either with it being the rear one! Bad luck though. I would be very annoyed and havent been unlucky enough for anyone to smash mine yet :/

Also it was used as a van to transport Mr-Fish's new suspension

Dont confuse it with the 1.8 TDDI which is shit, i have only ever had good experiences with the 1.8 TDCI units.
