OK, so today I started on the roof bars and tow hitch. They are all sprayed up, not the best job, few patches and runs, but it was my first attempt and looks much better than it did before anyway!
Here is a before on the roof bars:
 ![[Image: IMG_0048.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0048.jpg)
And this is them sprayed up, I need to wait a few hours before re-installing them and will add final pics then (or tomorrow if it's too dark.)
 ![[Image: IMG_0051.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0051.jpg) ![[Image: IMG_0052.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0052.jpg)
And finally, the tow hitch, looks 1000% better!
 ![[Image: IMG_0049.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0049.jpg) ![[Image: IMG_0050.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0050.jpg)
I apologise about how dirty she is! Tomorrow, I have a fog to replace and then it'll have a good clean.

Tom.

Cant get any more pics now, the roof bars are back on now. I think it looks odd without them too.
Anyway, here's the final result.

Cheers, I agree, for the best part of £8 you cant complain!

It's raining now so that's put a hold on the fog replacement. One of my dog's has been lost for the past 3 days however I just had a phone call saying she's been found and is at the local vets! Good day all round!

Small update, spent this morning on the car. Sorted the front fog however haven't taken a picture of that as we all know what it looks like. Also managed to get some gti6 shocks and lowered springs on and new droplinks, had a bit of an edge of your seat moment using the spring compressors as the top mount holes on one of the ones I bought were worn through so had to change the mount over from the old shocks. Anyway, it all came good in the end. Pics... Ignore the mud, I spent hours cleaning it last weekend but with our roads currently its pointless, I wont bother till the summer. ![[Image: IMG_0067.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0067.jpg) ![[Image: IMG_0068.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0068.jpg) ![[Image: IMG_0069.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0069.jpg)
The final result is much better than before, I have a done a before and after to show the drop, sits nicely and very similar to the rear now.

Before
 ![[Image: IMG_0912.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0912.jpg)
After
 ![[Image: IMG_0070.jpg]](http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k292/tomatphotobucket/HDI%20Estate/IMG_0070.jpg)
Getting there slowly! Tom.

Nah, it's sitting perfect as far as I'm concerned, I'm a fan of the oem+ look so any lower is not what I'm after. As far as progress there isn't much happening right now, however I have some new mounts and caps for my engine cover (very exciting!) and all the parts to give it a good service! Important things first!!

They will do for now and for that price! Plus there's 5, I reckon I could easily make my money back selling them at a later date.

I've never quite understood this. Well I get the concept just don't quite understand how a compressed spring can settle and by so much that it makes a visual difference?

Nuts! I hope that's the case for me seeing as it'll be having some 16" on it soon.
