Help wanted (xud dipstick size)

Bit of a random question but I'm trying to find out what size the curly dipstick is on a XUD, my friend has snapped the handle off of the top and we are trying to fashion a new 1 but not sure where to attach it, so basically I need 2 know the measurement from the very bottom to the bottom of the handle, any help would be much appreciated, thanx people

Just tried all the scrap yards in this area and no one has 1 and he is a cheapskate and won't pay £8 for a new 1!! I know..... I'd buy a new 1 but it's not for me
