The speedo in my brothers 306 isn't working correctly, it jumps about and doesn't read correct speed like it could read 30 when doing 70 then jump to 10 or whatever what's the most likely cause..? Sensor on gearbox or fuse or something..?

Could be the speedo sensor on the gearbox, take it out clean it up, or replace tbh

Shoulda the same as my xsi when it went. It either wouldn't work, or it would be all over th place

Whats the easiest way to get the white sensor outa the gearbox there feck all room to get spanner moved or anything..have a spare sensor the same so wanta replace it with the spare see if it helps...

Right so no joy, we changed the white sensor with another one, could see no other sensor on the gearbox, is there a fuse or relay that could be at fault? My thought is maybe the clocks are knackered..
