Went and bought a new car today. Its a 2.0 406 sri botom end with a 1900 inlet manifold and Gt28 BB turbo, the engine has been fully forged, rebuit gearbox start of the year with limited slip diff. got it cheep as it had lifted the head as they did not use arp headbolts when it was built

Epic! I had a 190bhp 205 and that seriously shifted, but this must be mental.

You're looking at the torque curve, that's the turbo coming on full blow at 4k.
This looks like a proper sly monster, hope it's kind to you lol!

ouch. thats about the price of a decent box mind.
I meant a proper rally car by the way, not a 205rallye.
the old 205 rally cars are getting a bit old now so you can find some nice shiney parts from them kicking around if you do some searching

So i wanted a dimma, so much that i bought one that needed a new shell, so i currently have lots of dimma parts including 4 rear wheels and two front
the question is, so i send the car to St Performance and get them to supply, fit and paint the car and also register the car with dimma/get a plaque, turning the car into a genuine Dimma, or do i spend about half what it would cost and restore it myself then get a 3rd car to send to ST performance and cost far more

I would cost me about 10k, from buying the car, the engine mods i have done and the dimma kit fitted, i would need to do it now while im still is this part of my life
Also means that i could get rid of 90% of the scrap i have at my house, and go down to two cars and just buy a ~£200 scrapper every year for winter
Something like that
