Hi all.
This is most likely a Dumb Ass question,
Having a look under the bonnet of my 306, there appears to be no wiring that passes through the bulk head, How does the system work, is it some type of transponder system? and is that why you need a unlocked ECU when doing conversions??

The main wiring goes through under the wiper motor so you can't really see it

There just seemed to be no connection from the engine and ecu loom going inside the car.
I remember a friend warning me to make sure the drain hole underneath the wiper motor was clear otherwise you would get water in the fuse box.

then that loom runs under the rad support, then up drivers wing, then inside

I am looking at putting a GTI 6 Engine in my car, will i have to get the entire loom, fusebox etc?.
