Threads like this make me appreciate that I have a real life, you bunch of keyboard bashing, computer loving bumders. It amazes me that between memorising every inch of this forum, and bumming each other, you have time to work on your cars, let alone maintain jobs.
And yes, I am a student, bring it on

What Chris said. Enjoy your lifetime of repaying debt. Enjoy not being able to get a job cos every fucker has a degree and no experience these days and enjoy earning substantially less than those of us who didn't go to university.(IIRC average grad salary is £20k)

If he's only earning 20k a year hell never pay a penny of it back, only start paying it back at 21k and at 21k its £10 a month

What he said, I'll enjoy a lifetime of paying back a minuscule percentage of what I was given, not least because most of mine was grants and scholarships (only 3k of debt per year). Also, I'm currently working at first class degree level, on a mechanical engineening course. I'll easily find a grad salary of 25k, and that's if I don't sell my soul to the oil industry within 5 years I should be on 30k plus...which having lived on 6k a year is a veritable fortune
Come at me bro.
At least I won't end up as some crooked rozzer...

Lol, easily find a job will you? Good luck to you then, why not rub it in all the qualified medical students' faces as you swan off to your immediate employment.
Oh and FYI you have to pay off your student loan a lot lower than a £21k salary. I don't even earn that much and i'm getting raped to the tune of £50+ per month, I only borrowed £3k too.

Rules have changed, tight fisted Scottish bastard.
And yes, I will easily find employment, I already have industrial experience, and even if I'm fussy there are hundreds of engineering graduate scheme places at companies I'd love to work for.

And yeah, I'm a pretty boy, I'll never struggle to pay the bills

Handy thing is you'll have your degree to wipe your chin with once you're past the illusion that it's worth more than the 0.2p it cost for the ink and paper

You shan't persuade me today, fortunately I'm going into one of the few careers you actually do need a degree for, even most of the elderly bastards where I worked had them. I'm not in it for the money anyway, tbh, I want to be an automotive engineer, and you just can't do that shit without swanning around at uni getting pissed for 4 years...or doing years of apprenticeships and technical training, it was a tough choice, honest.

serious? another thread about degrees being a waste of time? they make money for the economy as the loans get paid back with interest! Stop whining. It makes money for the country, educates people and keeps us at the forefront of research in the world. Really going to say thats a bad thing?
if its golf course management then yes its pointless! Ive just applied for IBM and they wont even consider you unless you have a degree so it may just be a piece of paper to some of you but its a piece of paper leading to a job!

Education is never a bad thing, if anything the country in general needs better education.
The issue is that there are so many graduates compared to the number of jobs available, the degree will be useful to those who get the job they want, while the rest of them sit on JSA trying to convince themselves they're better than 99% of jobs available and won't lower themselves to work those jobs. They have a degree, you know.

I personally think they should sack off all pointless degrees, instead of paying some dick in a tie dye tshirt to study fine art for three years, to then go on to being the talking box in mcdonalds

Sorry but just isn't a big enough smiley to justify how much I'm laughing right now!
Anyway on topic...what the f*ck has been happening on my forum whilst I've been gone.
Puggie, man up. That's the banter on here. I'm a mod and I've got a higher warning than you FFS. And so has Matt I think.
Dum dum. I've seen your penis and its tiny and slightly deformed. Sort of like a cheap tescos sausage that has burst open at the end whilst being fried. Just much smaller
Pellowe, you should replace Adam as admin because a) you are actually on this forum for more than 24 hours a year and b because you will bring banter to the forum so when I return home, I will start a campaign to make you admin.
I fully expect to be banned by the time I come down here to the wifi tomorrow but do I care? No. I will just start another forum like it seems all the whiny bastards do.
