Actually like this car more than I want. Colour coded rear bumper would be win
first thing on my payday shopping list is a few cans of bianca to color code the black strips
would smooth the whole look

i havnt decided what would look good on it yet wheelwise, been considering getting the berlingo steels banded.....
tried in the 405 leather seats, yes they fit but i didnt like them once they were in, bases are too wide at the front so they squeak on the door pocket and the 405 frames are slightly different to 306 seats meaning you sit at a slight angle. annoying but ohwell, half leathers it is..............for now

bad news, phase 1 bonnet wont fit, just balances on top.
off to the scrappy it is then for some phase 3 rear light clusters

^^^^ oh crap...
how bad does it not fit?!
weird that there is a ph1 with a 2.1 with ph1 bonnet though??
I may go for bonnet spacers as I want to keep the ph1 look

the engine sits pretty high up but i believe it has xud9 mounts so that could possibly have something to do with it?
this picture is taken with the camera level with the top of the wing and you can see the engine has a fair bit of poke

The 2.1 Engine is alot bigger, the block is taller to accommodate the extra stroke and the inlet manifold is actually pretty wide but the big increase is the size of that 3 valve single cam head that is alot bigger than an XUD9 head.

its just pretty convenient that the bulge in a phase 3 bonnet is almost exactly the right height for the 2.1
its like it was meant to be

If you look at that thread though...it has a engine bay shot...and its all there...but obviously clears the ph1 bonnet...
I have PM'd him asking about mounts

Seeing as a phase 1 front is out of the question now due to the engine height, I've now updated the back to match the phase 3 front end. Didn't plan it, just saw a phase 3 sedan at the scrappy this morning and bought the rear light clusters. Looks good I reckon

I think its about time the smoothing process began, get everything color coded, black mask the lights, get it low and stanced then get the steels banded. see how it stands then

i have noticed that the 2.1 lump has alot of free space down the side where the battery is, relocate that and there would be a decent amount of room for a pretty rude gearbox mounted monstrosity :p

im thinking a fair bit bigger than either of those. 2.1 would be better suited to something like an hx40 maybe?

with the gov mod it happily revs to 4.5k which coincidentally is the same powerband as my 1.9 at the moment.
i think the 2.1 would really benefit from an 11mm pump to really liven the turbo up

Yeah Im fitting a 11mm from the off....
Im still keeping my eye out for a reasonably priced td2503v....they only were fitted to the 2.4jtd alfas for a year or so...
still needing a 2.1 exhaust manifold which has the turbo flange pointing down!

Hx40 you say. You checked the compressor map for those? I think it's a tiiiiiny but oversized for your application. Like probably 3times...
