Discovered this a few days ago and can't stop playing the demo.. seriouslessly tempted to pre-order it to unlock the turbo/supercharger addon and the straight 6 addon.. looks like it will be epic when completed!

That actually looks like fun. Although all you'd want to do is build replicas of your favourite cars!
Watched the other videos on Youtube, ain't no way this is working on my 3-year old laptop!

Not sure when it's out.. they reckon it'll be complete by early 2014.. but you can download the demo and they update it as time goes on, or you can pre-order and then you basically get the game as it's built! if you pre-order now you can design i4, i6 and v8.. and also turbo's and superchargers when they've developed it (complete in 1-2 months).. Even better of all, they're adding LOADS of new engine types and fuel types.. you can get w8,w12, w16.. rotary, electric, diesel or a hybrid, 2 stroke etc etc.. going to be epic! link to full game content: http://automationgame.com/phpBB3/viewtop...f=15&t=137
EDIT: and yes you could make a replica 306 or even a maxi if you wanted to, they've already got basic 'moulds' for a CRX and supra that i've seen

Yeah we should all make our own 306s! Not that I have one currently.
Looks good though! Will look into in when I'm back!

Been playing it most of today.. designing your own engine is quite addictive.. built a VVT'd TU5JP which made 250bhp

Yep, I was one of the first beta testers
It's getting there, there's a shitload more to do though, turbo demos should be out within a month or so.
The engine simulations are relatively accurate for 'sensible' motors, they go out of whack a little for really high revving stuff at the minute though. Exhaust size ends up far too big for one.

If you like it give them a bump up with votes on Steam's greenlight, they're not far off enough votes to get featured, which should help with exposure + development.

I'm not sure about the demo version but for my beta launcher it requires your username and password from the forum account entered before you can hit play...

$35 too, not bad for the full game.
I really want this to work, but didn't get a chance to dig the laptop out last night. Don't have a desktop pc at our new place
...Maybe it would work on the PC at work?!

You could get the $25 version, the only difference is you don't get V16's
