I think i may sit the shell up in the back garden just incase i need a project one day and she can live again,
its like its a shame to take a low miler off the road but realisticly its battered so its not, I think the fact that alot of stuff will be put to good use on the new one will make the blow of stripping her a little easyer, i now feel the pain of irean dude

Nah man we've all done it. I genuinely was upset when the shell of mine got taken away.

Wasn't just that. It's the fact you put so much time and effort into it and it becomes your pride and joy (even if it is just a French shit box) only to have to get rid of it. Wouldn't of minded if I ha of sold it and then a month later it got written off.

Was the same with the cabby, and the zx, even though both were heaps lol.
New one looks good though fella, fair play on the price too. Reckon you should spec this one up as you did the old, get her pulling properly for starters.

Yep plan is to transplant all the spec'd up bits from the old to the new, i.e all gti parts, transfer the lump and get the bosch fitted at the same time, should be a nice subtle little DT, may not FMIC this one to, going for a motorway/B road cruiser this time rather than a day to day ragger

Haha 306 friends right? It's sad but tbh you get over it fairly quickly. I just lost love for mine because it was just one thing after another and realistically wasn't sensible to fix

Oh yeah forgot you bought my ARB! It's like life really. As it gets old, it spreads its seed throughout other cars then dies! Haha

Tyronnster. Its not so much the seats more the dash/door cards/ dials/ center console.
Think i will do a full strip down and a full internal ph2 swap out and re work the center of the dash.
Is there a guide to over ride the key fob
