rattley vibration sort of sound

May be able to help me if poss i think either one of the pulleys or could be the cam belt tensioner is rattling some times not alot but most of the time really lould how would i be able to find out what it is without paying stupid money for a garage to check it out? Many thanks

Remove the aux belt and check all your pulleys and tensioners by hand. The usual suspect is the crank pulley on these engines.

When you say check by hand do you mean see if theres play in them? Thanks for the help appreciated
