Estate brake upgrade

What's the easiest safest best upgrade for the estate braking system it's currently a pov spec model NAD

As Ben said, GTi-6 calipers are the easiest and most popular upgrade mate.......as long as your wheels are 15" they're a straight fit.

Ive fitted greenstuff pads to the front and it made the car a lot more stoppable

I'm just starting planning now as gonna need to do them in the new yearbooks like to change callipers I gotta get new wheels but might look at them green stuff pads though

until they leave horrible deposits on your disk that make them feel warped when you brake

ive not had any problems with them
they were a good upgrade for me without spending the earth!
£45 a front set .....howmuch are mintex 1144 upgrades?

Im going down Brembo route me as already had them on blaze they do fit under 15" just with spacers

For an NA diesel the HDI 266mm kit with decent pads and discs would be more than enough to stop it.

Will hdi brakes fit under 14 inch steelies and what parts would I need

yes mate, a lot of HDi's came with 14" wheels as standard. All you'd need is the callipers, discs and pads.

gti brakes will be the easiest upgrade. Brembos cost a fair bit. The standard 266mm setup is surprisingly good on the estate!

I swear the 266mm setup on the estate is better than the gti callipers, drilled and grooved discs, mintex pads and braided lines on the 1.8 D: Maybe it has a stupidly sized master cylinder or something!
