Fitting 17" Challengers Question

Fitting 17" Challengers Question

I may be acquiring a tasty set of 17" challengers this week. Before I part with the cash though, I'm just wondering if they would be a straight fit to my D turbo? Would I need to purchase some spacers, spigots etc and would the arches need rolling?

Tyres are 205/50R17

You'll need 205/40/17 tyres and 15mm spacers!

205/50/17 will be a bit big, really you want 205/40/17 and you will need spacers to fit 20mm should be ok but they do vary on offsets depending which car they are from.
with center cap == 307 challengers

edit : as above 15mm spacers, 20mm should do though, as thats what I have
without center cap == 206 gti 180 vortex

Technically you only need 10mm spacers on the back actually. But for handling purposes it's better to have the same the whole way round.
Only reason I had 15mm is Becuase they look better in the arches.

It's actually 12mm all round to get the correct offset but it also depends on the width of the wheel.

Thanks for the replies guys. The deal breaker on the alloys was that they had new tyres (I'm due some new tyres on my car). They're 205/50/17 so we've concluded that they're too big. I'm continuing to look for challengers/nimrods or cyclones maybe.....anything better than what I have now lol.

So with spacers, I'll need to get some longer wheel nuts too? Would they be tapered or flat? I've got harriers on the car atm so I've got tapered ones.

They're flat seated taper. You cannot get then in extended bolts. But what I did was get stud conversion and use Toyota style nuts which first just right.
Oil burner is using my old setup and alloys now which are 307 aidels 17" running 205/40 tyres. You probably could get away with 50 profile tyres if your standard hight but the rolling radius would be off. Not sure if they'd catch either.

Yeah they will be too big with 50 profiles! Mine didn't fit under the arches with 50's on!

If you get nimrods from a 406 they will fit straight on, as will cyclones.
Challengers need spacers and 206 nimrods need spacers too!
If you have spacers you'll need longer bolts or stud conversions.

All peugeot alloys have flat seated bolts.

If you have to get tapered bolts as Kent says you can get tapered to flat conversion washers but I've no idea where from!

I thought 206 was vortex. I thought 206 bolt straight onto the 306. Possibly wrong.

Speed shack do the conversion I think but they don't look very good. I looked at them at first.

Yup your correct 206 wheels without centre bores are vortex as stated above
