By the time my MOT comes round the car will have no rear carpet, no boot carpet, no c pillar trims, no rear quarter trims, no rear seats, no rear seat belts, wil have buckets, and harnesses.
What's the deal with mots?
Will it pass with a stripped interior or do I have to put it back together and have a standard interior?

It will pass but they will mark it on advisories as 'missing various interior fittings'

Ahh fair enough, thought they might get funny about the no rear seats/belts.
Would they query me not having a harness bar with harnesses? Ill be doing something as a temporary measure till the cage gets done

Wouldn't you be safe to just fit a tempory bar across your arches for harnesses?

I got an advisory for no rear seatbelts fitted...
And then a failure for it being a 306...

If theres no rear seats then seat belts dont matter. You'll be fine, doubt you'll even get an advisory for it, I didn't on my old hdi

Your more likely to get shit for a harness bar (especially if its a home made bodge) than you are with using the orriginal mounts.
When mine was MOT'd the 4 point harnesses were bolted to the floor

Not really. Providing there mounted to a secure place, it doesn't matter. You could mount them to the roof if you wanted, providing it was secure enough. We all know though that a harness bar is safer for you in the event of a crash.
