I hate them. I'm just borrowing them for now until I can afford some decent tyres.

Looking good Smile

I got those pedals the other day for mine, did you fill yours with the grease they gave you? I wasn't sure lol the guy in the shop said something about it so I just did it to save the bearings.

So finally finished except a decent set of tyres.
Had a issue with the front brake. The older marzocchi forks with IS mount for some stupid reason, had the mount offset slightly. Hope used to sell an adaptor for this but not any more so I'm left with....

Now getting hold of some 6mm steel to make a adaptor on a Saturday afternoon wasn't possible so a quick trip to screw fix and a temporary fix is sorted..

Problem solved. For now!

Anyway on to today and the first proper ride. Started early this morning with a brake fluid flush as it was discusting and shorten the chain slightly.

Dog approves...

First ride was to leith hill in dorking and within 5 minutes we already have to stop

And then usain bolt joined us...

Bike rode well. Forgot to set up the rear mech so could only get 8 gears and the seat post I got was far too short for my liking for XC'ing between trails.
Forks I wasn't so impressed with. Filled with air to the recommended pressures for my weight and they were ridiculously stiff and the rebound was insane. Had a worrying knock as well which I thought could be a worn bush that the seller didn't tell me about but dissapeared after I adjusted the pressures when I got home.

f*ck me i didn't realise how unfit I was! Well worth it though. Great day Big Grin

Lovely. Only thing is the front was really really lively but think that's down to skinny shit tyres and mental rebound.

That's an xc-orientated geometry set-up, so it'll push you over the front end, could be what makes it seem more twitchy. Have you been used to more relaxed downhill/bsx/dj stuff before..?
