Lot of knowledge here, so cheapest for best quality please
Looking for:
- new rear brake hoses for a disc beam from an XSI - going to be fitting it to my 306
- handbrake cable for a disc beam also.
AND/OR
discs and pads to replace on the back could be of benefit.
ebay im assuming would be easiest or pug part number and price if you have it would be delightful!
much love x

For rear discs and pads.
Motor factors for the hoses (unless you go braded) and same again for the cables.

Nope, get on ebay for the hoses, and just go into the factors with a reg no and they'll do the rest.

No thats my point matt, you dont need a reg cause there is only 1 type of rear disc/pad and handbrake cable is either drum or disc

Nope, all rear brakes are 247mm non vented 8mm thick discs that use the same pads.
Most psa cars of the time use the same.
Cabels are all the same too.
The boxset up there is a bargin price for mintex items too.

No difference in the brake set up atleast, just the "sport" models and estates are stiffer

I think the cabby cables are slightly longer, when I got my cables he said they list seperate ones for the cabby but the actual brakes are the same

Bruv, if you want braided hoses give Swampy a ring. He's on the Gti6 forum http://www.306gti6.com/viewprofile.php?id=1096 It's worth a try although I don't know if he does them now. Avoid the Goodrich ones because they are not the right size and cause the hoses to hub on other parts of the suspension. That's what happened to Warlord0 on .net. I payed £45 all in for braided hoses from Swampy although I think he said they went up to £55 now, but still a massive bargain! Some people complain that he is slow to deliver although mine arrived almost instantly. I've had them on three months, it makes a noticeable difference to pedal feel, although there is still too much 'dead space' in the travel, you need to upgrade to a Gti6 master cylinder if you want to get rid of that. That's what I plan to do!
Edit: You can buy each pair from him as well, but you might as well do the full set.

OR even better give me a link to them
REG is M548 ORW (thats the car which the beam come from.)

i dont want to be spending £45 on a set of lines.... ECP they're £12 each, bosch lines... + 25% discount on the pair... its nearly half the price.

I emailed him anywho, seems through the GTI thread he does orders in bulk... I'd need them within the next week or so, so unless he has them in stock. We'll see
ANYONE else have a link to the correct lines... this is becoming painful
