You own a VW and cut 5 coils out of the front spring.

Or you fit your space saver and the front bumper sits on the floor.

When you get a puncture and the sills hit the floor and grind you to a stop.

Your car will not go on the drive, you cannot have anyone sat in the back, and you ripped the fuel line and assorted parts off the bottom of your car by driving over a manhole.

I used to have an inspection pit in my front garden which was pretty handy with my old Rover. It wasn't an actual inspection pit as such it was like the council had just loosely concreted a bit of our driveway in the middle but the sides were top notch so a mate of mine borrowed a mini digger from his work and dug the centre section out, bottom was concreted and then the sides were skimmed 4 times with concrete...about 3 or 4 days work but the inspection pit is still there to this day!

My uncle built his own garage and also built a inspection pit. That's where all the work to my car gets done now. He's old so he can't get use out of it.
