Heaters popping fuses.
#1
So my heaters packed in the other day...
So far I've checked my relays and they're fine, I've check the fuses and number 21 was popped. So started by checking the motor isn't stuck but that's all working fine, I've taken the controls out and checked them and they looked ok. So I plugged it back together and it still popped a fuse...
So I tried to turn it on without the heater controls plugged in and it's working fine, not popping.
But soon as I plug the control back in it pops.
Would you suggest dodgy wiring or controls?

Control panel is cheap and easy to change so I'd try that first tbh, save messing with a multimeter for hours lol.

You sure the blower relay is ok though? They seem to melt the sockets, particularly on GTis for some reason!

probably the heater panel
try cutting one leg of the big diode on the left hand side near the plug just to disconnect it Wink

Turned out to be heater control unit, tried someone else's.
Local breakers wanted stupid money for one, so hopefully get one tomorrow.
