i have a similar mold on the plastic bit near my wing mirrors and was going to post a thread asking how to get rid of it.
Im assuming this is the same kind of mold so what ever helps you will help me! Quote:(15:06:27) Toms306: Wd40d it and had a good tug, came straight off

Isnt that just a rubber seal? A replacement shouldnt be too hard to find or too expensive?

Dan! Wrote:Isnt that just a rubber seal? A replacement shouldnt be too hard to find or too expensive? I tried this as mine looks shite, but the glass and seal are all one piece IIRC A small stiff nylon brush should do the trick though, almost like a large toothbrush, also works well on the window seals as they tend to go green!

Its moss more than mould TBH, but see the above edit for a way to remove it
Also while I'm here, I wouldn't suggest using a power washer on the edges of the sunroof unless you want a wet interior

Jeyes fluid (or however its spelt) kills moss though Edit:- helps if you put the image in her is some links to ebay - Single brush http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Upgrade-RC-Me ... 1518wt_962 Similar price but has brass and steel brushes too which are great in the engine bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Q4319-KENT-CA ... _535wt_698

mould cleaner and a stiff brush. b&q do a small stiff brush they call a grouting brush, i reckon that'd work really well

Soapy water, a scouring pad and elbow grease. Careful not to scratch the glass with the pad.

You can buy sponges with a netting on one side of it. More then capable of removing mould from the sunroof. Worked for me anyway.

Another vote for a tooth-brush here, that and some washing-up water did the trick for the mouldy bits on the HDi. Apply some vaseline once you've cleaned it up - makes it look shiny and helps it keep a good seal.

You can buy mould cleaner for patio's etc, might be an idea to put some of that (diluted) on your roof, helps get rid of any remaining spores left in the tufts.

scrape it as much as you can then black boot polish. i do this for my splitter. works a treat and protects it.
