Better off cleaning/painting everything and getting it looking as new, than "dressing" it up, IMO. Generally it just looks cheap, but it's your car, obviously.

I dressed my engine bay...
With a big ass gearbox mounted turbo. Shinny win! Wishes for more power...
WD-40 and a rag. Best investment, much shine. Wow
