Different break pressures iirc mate

Bosch NA ones are tiny compared to TD's. Size does matter.

ah lovely...as I wondered...I assumed break pressures was the differing factor...didnt realise size was too

Not much in it admittedly, IDI injector nozzles don't change a massive amount... And as posted, they're 155bar vs 175bar for Turbos...

that break pressue is in the spring/tip isnt it...so if I was, speaking theorecticaly, to change the tips/springs for bosch 3.1s then the break pressure wouldnt matter?!
ah...but size is different?!?! Wishes for more power...

The nozzle is different as is the spring/shim stack...
You cannot just place the springs out of another injector in as they're matched, they require the pressures setting correctly with shims, which you won't have.
okeydoke. as I thought. thanks for confirmation.
swapping nozzles only.. Wishes for more power...

Errrr....
Can't go mixing and matching nozzles, which was kinda the point of my post... Change the entire injector as a unit unless you're sending them off to get re-shimmed and calibrated... Be aware that if one nozzle is out of calibration as far as pop pressure goes, it will affect the injection timing... Basically - get Turbo 175bar injectors... Don't try and change the nozzles yourself, or you'll end up with 4 injectors of differing break pressures, screwing up the overall timing of the engine.

nah thats fair comment...I have emailed him to find out...he is on this forum...blue ph1 on speedlines.
close to 170bhp and 250 torques on a nice smooth map so he must have set them up right Wishes for more power...

You can quite easily get that with dodgy injectors, it's the damage it's doing to the engine and precombustion chambers I'd be concerned about...

defo me too...will do me digging and see what I get

How will this do damage? Other than sound horrendous if there too soon or smoke like buggery if too late?
