Halfords Trade Card Prices
#1
I know there's the odd thread here and there about the trade card but we don't have a list people can have a quick look against. There's one online but it's quite old now so probably quite outdated. And yes prices fluctuate etc but it would be good to have a bit of an idea especially when you're debating Halfords or ECP for grabbing some oil and a filter.
I've held onto some receipts recently as Halfords is closer to me than ECP so will be updating more when I get home but if people respond so I can add more to the list do we think it might be something worthwhile?

How? Well, a small team of people at their head office probably monitor the amount of each product they sell and alter the price dependant on sales volumes and buy in prices which can also fluctuate. Wink
You'll find things like that will probably stay mostly the same but your basic parts, oils, filters, batteries etc do change a lot!

True the prices might fluctuate abit but it'll be good to have an idea of what to expect from the card . When I picking up a oil filter that was rrp 10ish I didn't know what to expect 8? 6? 4? A more update to date list would save people getting surprised by the lack of savings

Bit harder to get these days tbf...

Own brand bulb packs (brakes, indicators etc) £2.49 floor price, 49p trade price. Been the same since I've had a trade card (~4 years).

Halfords trade discount has certainly been getting less over time, probably unsurprisingly given how widespread the cards now seem to be.

Wiper blades you used to get a huge margin off, similar to bulbs, but having picked up a set for my parents whilst servicing their car for them last weekend, it's now only circa a third off - something like £15 down to £10. When I last bought some last year for my car, it was something more like a fiver for a set...

Still well worth having if you need wipers on a Sunday when everywhere else is closed of course, but certainly quite a bit more expensive than available through mainstream motor factors.

See tom306 thought these bulbs were 49p trade but when i bought some they were 1.50
Please be very certain of the prices (ideally if you've just gone out and bought some) we wouldn't want a list made up of guesses

FYI that oil filter band is really good.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.
