2.5 inch pipe from the turbo the whole way back is the only job.
Get some 2.5 pipe,a lad to weld and an exhaust flange and make it.
Keep standard 1 for test.
Didn see the post that says you have no cash, but pipe is cheap if you know a lad will make it. Dont need stainless pipe

Does removing the cat free up any power, or just make it noisier (if thats a real word)

Removing cat doesn change noise really, just less restrictive, bak box does most of the sound deadening.

Full stainless steel turbo-back sound great, especially that turbo whistle standard turbochargers give

Look at Dum-Dum's project thread, theres a video in there of a 3" exhaust that sounds epic.
Doesnt even own a 306.
