If you're right handed, you should have the knife in your right hand.

Not sure why, presumably as you'll need the strength from your best hand to cut through chunks of meat, whereas stabbing things with a fork requires less effort.... Confused

However, if you're only using one piece of cutlery (just a spoon for soup, or just a fork for pasta) that should then be in your right hand.

Today I had a flame grilled half pound prime steak burger, topped with slow barbecued brisket that had been soaked overnight in BBQ sauce and shredded, on a sourdough bun, with skin-on fries, coleslaw, onion rings, pickles, and 5 black treacle BBQ wings...
