Had been talking to a mate about buying a project to go drifting, obv it had to be diesel. He spotted what looked to be the perfect car for it, so on monday night we went and looked at it, was better than we thought. We where told it was 5 cylinder, and about 1980's, turns out it 1990 and 6 cylinder, rwd, size of a bus, only problem is its auto atm, 3ltr straight 6, runs and bosch m pump(inline), full leather
So for those who might not of guess'd, its and e class merc. Running a om603 engine
Plans
Stripping it, all interior etc bar dash, so will get money back from selling that
Twin turbo, possibly either gt15's, or k14's, as I have 2 of each lying around
Hydro handbrake
Decked
A lot of suspension work to get it setup
And then drift the shit outa it
No pics atm, picking it up tomorrow, so will get pics then
And best bit, all for 300, will be keeping records of what I buy and sell so I know what its costing me

Cheers
Function>form for this build, long as it goes well this year I can sort out looks and more power after I get the hang of it
But it will need turbo'd, 120 in a e class isn't exactly quick

Start with some space savers on the back so it'll actually drift
Then go for the power!!
Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.

no pics yet, and never seen one drifted before, there is one in england drifting, but dont know about it, same rear suspension style as the s bodies, just another tonne weight
oh yes, hard to beat the reek
its this size and shape, swb one, but still has a wheel base of 2.8m, is near 2m wide, and 5m long in total

Do you think the GT15's are big enough for this size engine? I would have thought they would be way too small..

well got 2 gt15's lying about, it should be enough to get abit of power, it will need more eventualy but will do for learning in
this is a budget build, it will be done as cheap as possible
only photo i have of it atm, parked beside the 306

good stuff if you can weigh the seats etc if this is the 1st merc you have stripped you will be surprised also worth whacking bits on ebay you remove might get you some funds can't remember but if the seats bolt flat to the floor list them on the bay and put in the title vw van etc my drift car ended up owing me £40 and that was because i bought a steering wheel now ows me a bit more with ecu etc but still sub 400
