That inlet would make it very awkward to mount, make sure you know how your going to fit it and pipe it before you go ahead.

Possibly...more of an issue is the inlet pointing 90degrees the wrong way!

If the cartridge is in good condition then this is what I would do, otherwise just stick it on ebay and except you may make a loss on it

I dont run a filter on mine, the only issue i can see is the inlet would be pointing towards the bulkhead, IMO may be more likely to pick something up but would be tight against bulkhead too is say,
I dont know how grinding it back would go as youd probably be best grinding halfway through the 90
And as for swapping the inlet housing it has to have the same wheel etc

im thinking of grinding it down abit just so it misses bulkhead if it touches. might get some strong mesh with little holes so it wont suck anything in
