So I've got my new ignition barrel and key and it all works fine on the pug.
My only problem is getting the new barrel back into its holder. It just won't slide in all the way due to it catching on the holder and therefore I can't get the steering column casing back on.
(I think that makes sense lol)
Any ideas on how to get it in without breaking it?

When me and niall attacked one the two clips were quite fidly, make sure you have the barrel in the correct locking position. Iirc the position is bearish the front.

Put the key in the barrel on the 0 position. Put some pressure on the barrel to try and push it in and turn the key to 1. It should click in 1 notch. Needs to be done again so just repeat. The second time, you might have to wobble the steering wheel in case the tab for the steering lock isnt lined up
