So, basically I'm refurbing my steelies, and want to get them done today ideally, sowhat is the minimum advised wait between colour coat and lacquer?
If it helps its metallic paint, and I don't care about flatting it back, they're just winter wheels!

That is contrary to what I have read. I made a similar thread back in .net days and I was advised to wait 30 minutes until the colour coat was dry but 'tacky' and then begin with the lacquer coats. The reason that was given was so that the lacquer would bind with the colour coat. This was said to stop the lacquer from peeling off.

Whenever i paint anything i wait about an hour and i use a heat gun.

Yeah i would have painted them after the tyres were fitted.
