Project save a phase 1 6
#1
Some of you will recognize this car. Picked it up a few weeks ago from Nathan white phase 1 gti6 stripped out and used for track/road has a fair few issues

So started by removing the bucket seats carpet and replacing with phase 2 gti6 leathers for now
Also returned the rear lights back to phase 1 as someone decide to fit phase 2/3

It will be removed at some point soon to make way for a phase 3 spoiler in gloss black

Sorted the idle out that was down to a missing inlet gasket and gasket sealant being used instead fitted thermotec inlet and throttle body gaskets. So now no more hesitation and crap idle
Also changed the engine loom as it was all messed with and the car still has no gauges apart from the speedo Sad
Fitted a set of oz wheels with t1rs

Glad this is getting saved. Missing inlet gasket... lmao
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

Yeah mate someone had used black gasket sealant and hardly any of it at that.
Need to sort the clocks out next as not having a fuel gauge is killing me lol

Managed to source a few parts off a lad on eBay breaking a phase 1 6
Fuel pump and fuel lines
Full interior loom and full front engine bay loom so gonna swap all that over and hopefully get rid of some of the electrical issues. Just need to find a engine loom now as he would t sell it me as being used for a 205 conversion Sad

Can't say I have noticed any benefits if I'm honest haha

Plan ok keeping it as it seems to be behaving it's self now. For how long is anyone's guess tho it's a pug lol. Don't think I could bring myself to break it as its a phase 1 and not to many left of them now.
