So I need to replace the cable for the cap popper. It has snapped from the rear end under the wheel arch at the back. Before I do has anyone done this before and have any tips? Haynes is a bit vague with description !

I've removed a couple, it's just a simple cable, you only need to lift the carpet along that side and remove the rear arch liner for access iirc, then it's fairly straightforward.

Cheers mate. Stripped the interior out to find you get access from the wheel arch. Farce !
