Did you just have to cut the hole in the cowling bigger? I tried this in a car at the breakers as the 206 wheel is much nicer but it wasn't direct fit so I couldnt be bothered to buy it lol

Nope, but theres a thread somewhere explaining what to do, as the 206 one needs two plugs and the 306 loom has one. the plug fits, but I think you bridge it or summit

Wasnt the 206 airbag system completely different to the 306 one though, rendering it a bastard to wire in?

To put it basically, there is two airbags in the steering wheel. One slower detonating than the other. It will set one off if its a low speed crash. If its a big one, set off both so bridge the two cables and it should be fine. Oh just to add, its only one bag but two detonators.

If i remember when i first had the wheel on it almost felt better to use the stalks when driving without hand of the wheel as they were closer but nothing ridiculous

so took the cowlings off just to see if it was going to feel ok, reach etc, as I like to have my legs almost straight but arms bent.....

do those luggs need cutting off too then??

I love the look of it, but I am wavering about fitting it now.

I was going to just get my wheel retrimmed and shaped but after driving the missus 206 the other day, i do think the 206 gti wheel is perfect so i might buy one and finally get it fitted! Just worried about the airbags

Haha...

It was the reach that bugged me, even if I had chopped at the cowling, would be driving round with either me arms in a good positiom but knees round me head or legs in perfect position and arms stretched out straight! And knuckles catching the stalks

Hmm true i suffer from that standard anyway hence why I'm going to look at extending the steering column by about 25mm

I get a little nervous that the circuit will be upset by moving the seat around with the poor connectors let alone after chopping and changing it!
