I'm guessing the two pipes coming from the oil filter housing location is passive cooling using the coolant of the engine? Mines been disconnected on the 205 since I bought it and thought I best check it out!

Yeah it's the oil cooler/warmer...
Setup changes on engines where it's fed from, some are fed from the bypass pipe from the thermostat, others are fed from the distro block on the back of the block...

It works quite well as it circulates with the rad system. I've disconnected mine also as the piping was a PITA. If you've got the space, plumb it in.

I see, I'm sure some appropriate piping could be purchased fairly cheaply. I'll have a look and see whats actually present.

I know as standard, mine had metal piping in parts.. Get to the scrappy!
