Handbrake cable just a case of removing the centre console piece that goes around the gearstick and handbrake which is a case of 2 10mm nuts and 2torx screws then slacken the handbrake cable off with a deep 13mm socket and then it should be a case of unhook the cable off the caliper and then if your lucky the cable should come out of the hole it goes through on the caliper if not use another socket around the same size and tap the outer casing towards the front of the car and the rest is straight forward!

He's not replacing the handbrake cable, he intends to reuse it. It uses a splined taper to lock in the caliper, unhook the end then use a punch and hammer to knock it out the caliper.
