phase 2 headlights to phase 3

phase 2 headlights to phase 3

just wondering is it just a straight swap, i have frosted phase 2 headlights and was going to get some phase 3 crystals,
are they straight swap?
same bulbs?
and whats the best way to get the cover off to spray the mask black?

Pretty much a straight swap but you'll need to swap the adjusters off of your ph2 onto the ph3 lights as they have a different plug on.
should be the same bulbs (H7)

and put them in the oven to split them Wink

also swap the indicator stalk so that you have full beam on with dipped beam Smile

think the ones i have in now are h4's
are the adjusters easy to swap?
also would they not melt in the oven? :S

yes just 3 torx screws in the surround behind the steerting wheel then 2 torx screws hold the stalk in simply undo them and replace the stalk i have one for sale if you need one really easy Smile

The adjusters just untwist easily

as for the stalk unscrew the 3 screws on the steering column (Torx T20) then 2 T15s i think hold the stalk on

adjusters are easy to take off but sometimes can be a right PITA to put back in

They twist about 45 degrees then pull out of the reflector in the light as long as your careful its not too bad

IIRC it's anticlockwise to remove the electric adjusters. There's a plastic locating tab on the body of the headlight at the top of each adjuster, you need to gently lever these up so it'll turn back underneath the tab. When you refit them pull the reflector back and hold it firmly to re-engage the ball joint on the adjuster as you push the adjuster back in then twist it to lock it it place.
