Something at the front left of my 1999 306 xs 1.8 petrol is making a horrible knocking noise over any bump but not round corners or anything else only over bumps, and I mean every bump, at first I thought it could be some plastics but I now know it's not and I need to find out what it is, any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers

probably a drop link worn they link the anti roll bar to the suspension strut one on each side
knocking on left could be the right side droplink and visaversa or could be the same side as the noise

Jack it up, crowbar or breaker bar and wiggle it about and you'll probably see movement if it's nackered, could also be a ball joint mate
