Its easy mate. I assume your air con no longer works? Just chop the drain pipe out and then you have a massive rubber grommet there to run the loom through. Take the grommet out, make a hole through it and cut a slit in it so you can slip it over the loom and then push it back in. Job done Smile

Maplins do good ecu boxes...they list them as project boxes, they have a seal on them and you can fit those weird gland type fittings to take wires into them in a water tight fashion

Ahh right, so ducting probably won't take away the great sound!

I was thinking of buying one of those stickers for my grille as it is a phase 1 but was worried about it damaging the paint eventually.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

Thinking of buying some for the sides too but not sure yet?
I will have a look at hoe much loom I have to play with and see what I can do with it

Ordered a fit of flexi ducting hose today so I can take an air feed from the grill down to the throttle body. Off to maplins tomorrow to but a box for the ecu as its going to be too much of a f*ck on to move it into the car so just going to mount it behind the passenger headlight. 106 electric PAS pump will be getting fitted in the next week or two as well and 106 diesel header tank in place of the current PAS bottle. Still loads to do, never ending this haha.

Been down to see Jim again today to discuss fitting me a EPAS pump and he turned around and said why not fit a full adjustable electric PAS column from a corsa. Hmm how much is this going to be? £200 supplied and fitted. Costa B rack modified to my car supplied with ecu and adjuster knob. He gave me a go of the one fitted to Paul Swifts mk2 escort rally car and it does feel very nice but do I really want to spend £200 on something I will probably never adjust :lol
Then came along David Cox for some work off Jim and has a snoop around my car. Seemed to be quite impressed then asked if I wanted to have a look at his ex BTCC race car. Awesome I will let you decide for yourself.

Well since I am staying home this weekend I thought I would get a few things done on the car today. Finished night shift at 7am so had all day to mess about. 1st off was to fit the 106 diesel header tank. Went on heayer than I was expecting. Moved the PAS tank out the way and the header pretty much slid straight into place. There is a bolt through the chassis leg what I cut off, drilled 2 mounting holes for the header to be fixed to then had to cut a little but of the top mount bridge thing so I had room for the return pipe to go. Then shortened the pipes so now I have less pipes cluttering the engine bay Smile removed the 205 header from the bulk head and that was that job done.

Next job. I didnt like the Omex sitting on top of the gearbox mount so moved it behind the passenger headlight. Still wanting to buy a box to put it in but I will buy one of them at a later date. Taped most of my loom up too to help tidy the bay up.

finally my cold air feed turned up today. Stupid me ordered 76mm what is the same size as the throttle body, should have went for maybe 80mm as the 76mm wont fit over the TB luckily I had a silicone reducer what was perfect fit onto the TB and perfect fit so sit inside the air feed. Quite happy with the bit progress so thought I would treat the car to a bath.

Off now to hopefully collect my sand blasted rocker covers and engine hoist brackets, then off to pick up a 106 electric PAS pump free of charge Big Grin wish everything was free! :lmao

Then came across this nice little find in an abandoned garage outside Jakes. Door had no locks on and rusty screws keeping it shut so thought we would take a look! Land rover has been off the road since 2001

Well another update Big Grin been a busy lad this weekend. Fitted the electric PAS pump. All on well apart from the standard gti6 feed with 17mm bolt to lock the pipe into the pump isnt long enough so all my pas fluid came out through the 17mm bolt so need modify that then all should be well.
fitted mine to the same place a 106 has it fitted. Need to removed the gti6 pump tomorrow and measure up for a new alternator belt too
