Partly why I started the thread.
To me, I've priced up the parts that are fitted and how much these car go for stock and reckon it is worth between £1200-£1300.
Whether that is realistic or not, I'll see what you reckon?

As this is one, that would probably point towards yes...? I've seen a few, most notably Disco Stu's old one.
Carl, I think in honesty a more realistic price is around £900. Unless you can find someone in the know, looking for one already spec'd, then you could probably get more.
Unfortunately mods don't add significant value

Have you got prof of all the engine build? if you have think that will help with the sale, had it got different rods in like hdi rods?
I think with all the right paper work around the £1,000 to the right person maybe slightly more.
Quite tempted for my self tbh thinking about getting a 306 again

I understand that completely.
I've got a stock engine sat in my shed which I'm more than happy to put in and sell the car and all the parts of value separately.
I'm not looking to get rid of it as soon as possible, if someone wants to but it in the next few weeks/months then great. If not, I'll go down that route.
There are pictures of the rebuild in my project thread. Yes, it does have the HDi rods in.

Can't see you having many problems selling it tbf.
It's pretty much fully spec'd.

I'll keep my price opinion quiet because I'm quite interested in this but I'll be accused of trying to get the price down

Id say you should easily see £1000-1200 if you hold out, just advertise at £1200 no offers thats the price and thats what it is if you want it
but change the chav box as it lets it down big time

I did agree with you, but following Carl at a none too sedate pace up some muddy country lanes, it does look and sound like a rally car
It's still chavvy though.

Hmmm, hadn't really seen pics of this for a while..... I actually like a phase 2 with lairy wheels and a chav cannon....oh god! Not a fan of the FMIC grinning through, but that's personal preference.
I'd price it at a grand tbh, might get £1200 if you can find someone that wants exactly that though.

You are better off breaking it or putting back to standard because from what I've seen phase 2 5drs just aren't a desired car to most people.
I like the BTW so I'm not dissing just giving my opinion.

I think given the spec not many people are going to worry about the body type

Regardless of XUD specs, it's a familiar sight, but unfortunately 15 year old diesels have their limit to what they sell for

Due to problem with the car, which you can see in this thread http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-19179.html, it will need a new crank.
As I am intending to sell it on, I am not motivated to fix it.
If anyone wants any parts, get in touch with me.
I will be putting up a breaking for parts thread at some point over the next few days.
