phase 1 air bag light

The car is in for its MOT on Wednesday. However just checking things over and noticed there's no airbag light on.. and I'm pretty sure its never worked since I got the car. So I've taken out the unit and theres no bulb in there, but there never has been a bulb in there. There is no markings in the copper where the bulb normally twists into place.
So what does that mean for the MOT even though the car has airbags now that the mot rules have changed?

Or is that normal for phase 1 ?

I just took the bulb out for mine and it passed just fine.

If you're friendly with the tester just have a word with him

The light doesnt have to illuminate
But if its on it indicates a fault and can therefore fail

It will pass and be advised as it is

Ive had this car for 2 years now and always wondered what that light was for... such an idiot. The light is even part of the airbag too
