Kyb Excel-G shocks
#1
Has anyone had any experience with these?
Looking online they seem to be rated fairly well saying they have a higher damping rate than oem but but retain some comfort. So wondering if they would do well to replace old ones and then run them on a lowered beam
Since they are only £23 a side

Ive had kyb's on 2 cars one lowered and another standard height their excellent for the price, how low is the beam ? id say they work well on 40mm any lower id look for something a little more sporty

They do feel a little stiffer damping but the length of the overall shock is the same standard so a 60mm drop would reduce the overall travel and the life span of the shock. But for 20 odd quid might be worth a go way cheaper than a set of bilsteins or spax

Ive fitted them to standard cars and never noticed much difference.
