Got another feature of the rallye in the next issue of Performance French Car Magazine, Out 7th Feb.
If anyone is interested in picking up a copy for a read. No idea what the write up will be like, but its titled 'Budget Track Car' so no idea how to take it yet.
Anyhow, Thoughts on it appreciated when its out.
Cheers

Don't see the budget bit as an insult, look at the cost of the other cover cars!! Yours would probably destroy them on track

Well done for getting in the mag. I'd have rather seen your rallye get the main write up rather than that 106!
Suprised they've titled it as budget, certainly doesn't look like its been built on a budget so you've obviously done very well!

Had the car 7 years in May and if you take tax/fuel/insurance out of the equation, I bet it stands me at less then £1000/year, and thats with tyres/brake use from trackdays as well as the inital purchase and I did a full engine rebuild last year on it.
Joys of getting your hands dirty and have a brother as a mechanic when you get stuck.

As said, I think they're trying to paint the 'budget' thing in a good light; you've done bloody well to keep costs so low but still build the car to a good spec and enjoy trackdays at the same time! It's mighty impressive!!
And I also LOVE this car. Major manpoints for using is as the wedding car too, that's just inspired haha!

You might remember letting me sit in it the day before FCS when we met with the .net crowd. It is an awesome car and the attention to detail really makes it.
Can't bring myself to buy magazines though, just too expensive IMO...

There are in general tbh. I could edit that mag for spelling mistakes better than them!!
The other thing I found unusual was the thing about horsepower figures, where someone I think questioned Chris' 280hp n/a rallye figures, and they didn't just respond saying there was a dyno printout, they went all round the houses saying it was a good approximate figure. I'd have been pissed if that was my car and I had a friggin printout proving the hp, or at least very close on that hp...!

I was always put off by the price of mags, 90% of them are adverts anyway.
Used to read this in the newsagents when I was waiting for my sausage cob.
I have just subscribed tho since it came out for android, 9.99 per year.
Its a pretty good write up mate, congrats on getting in, Looking epic as usual.
Also didnt realise jammapic had his own column now?

I was a bit pissed off that someone did write that about my car yes mate, i did send them a print out of the dyno sheet as well. But you will always get people that dont understand or just dont want to trust what are on the dyno, i was thinking about writing something back to them about it.

Personally I would. I mean I get that dynos are inherently inaccurate, but it sounded like it was a 'claimed figure' which you'd pulled out of thin air, rather than a dyno sheet upon which to say "yeah its running about 280hp" or whatever...

I had that with the readers' rides. On a T2 they got figures confused with aims and current power/torque. Made me look a bit of a chancer tbh, "yer me pugz wel fast maet"
