I've a bad track record with cars too, mate. I want it to be different this time :P and £1200 isnt even the dearest! The REALLY mint ones are £1500/1600! They're seen as the holy grail of cars over...

A good D-Turbo over here is around £1200 then I have the extra money for insurance to pay as well. When I say I've practically no savings, I mean I have no savings, lol. The 106 is much too unsafe now...

So if i swap just the ph2 clocks and use the ph3 loom it'll work? Or will I have to use the ph2 loom to make the clocks work? Just trying to make this job as simple as possible, lol

Always good to have someone who has done it :P What wiring loom did you use? Was it the one in it or a d-turbo one? Also, did you use d-turbo clocks to make the rev counter work?

Thanks for the help. I had a look around forums and it seems that I need the D-Turbo wiring loom which will plug into the n/s chassis leg plugs and thats about it. So hopefully this goes well, I will ...

Only just checking back to this now. Today i removed the thermostat and bled the cooling system. Car isn't pressurising anymore and runs like a dream. Thank god!

He definitely said £10. He never specified the colour of his diesel though... haha! Would 55mpg be right? How would I achieve this?
