cig lighter how does it work - omega - 06-08-2012
if i use the cig lighter to light a fag it works
but if i plug my phone charger or sat nav charger they dont work but they work in my other car
any ideas

is the plug going all the way in? had it in my old 306 that it would push in and feel like it was in but wasnt getting any power

Maybe to do with the earth part of it

if you look into the lighter socket you will see two tabs oposite each other these are bimetal strips that bend out with heat releasing the lighter end
i suspect these have gone week and are not gripping your charger lead
