Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 Good condition, few bent fins but all cores straight and true. Collection only as i can't be bothered messing with postage. I believe they fit perfectly on a DT and hold 20 psi + fine, Rik1254 had the same one for sale on .net IIRC which they had fitted to a DT, will find a pic of that if i can. Looking for what i paid for it £40 ono. ![]() EDIT: Will even throw in a few bits of leftover piping from my FMIC package for the buyer if there interested Re: Focus ST225 FMIC - Matt - 19-12-2011 Pretty tempted. Just too put it on the car for lols Re: Focus ST225 FMIC - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 Do it mate ![]() ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Matt - 19-12-2011 Haha very tempting, might see if I can get a recording of a turbo spooling and put it on cd haha Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 Or... boost your XSI ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - 4WayDiablo - 19-12-2011 Midnightclub Wrote:Or... boost your XSIWin! Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Matt - 19-12-2011 Boosting my xsi. Nah. What's involved? Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - mark_airey - 19-12-2011 Do it, if you did it really low boost like a few PSI you could get away with standard internals I would think and get it re-mapped + probably a few things that I have overlooked ![]() quite a few people have done it to 106/saxo's as its an easy way to more power, how reliable it would be might need looking into though but I think its worth a shout  ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 Could run like 5 psi on standard internals i would have thought, remap and a nice healthy increase i would of thought and the title of first boosted xsi on the forum ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - mark_airey - 19-12-2011 Midnightclub Wrote:Could run like 5 psi on standard internals i would have thought, remap and a nice healthy increase i would of thought Haha, this was my thinking, if you go being silly with boost then you will break things quickly but at low boost it can't do any harm and should give it a nice kick up the arse ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 defo, manifold wouldn't be too difficult, could probably adapt a DT mani Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 19-12-2011 Updated first post Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Midnightclub - 23-12-2011 I'm sure if you know someone coming to the karting meet they'd bring it back for you ![]() Re: Focus ST225 FMIC to fit DT or HDi - Ruan - 24-12-2011 Midnightclub Wrote:defo, manifold wouldn't be too difficult, could probably adapt a DT mani Lol... You seriously couldn't.. If you get a gti6 mani cut open, shite removed and welded up, it'd be fine, or just literally turn a gti6 mani into a short runner by chopping the original plenum off with an empty plenum welded to it, it'd be fine... Exhaust side wise - just get your stock manifold, chop the original flange off, weld a pipe that brings it along the back of the engine, and then puts it in the battery box, then you just need to make a downpipe from the turbo back to the exhaust... You don't need fancy ass tuned manifolds, it may not drive quite as well off boost, but all of that's going to be made up for once the turbo spins ![]() Couple of lbs of boost and then a boost sensitive fuel pressure regulator and just put the throttle plate before the turbocharger with the MAP sensor pre turbo, it'd be fine... It'd take some fiddling and some monitoring of AFR, but it's doable with shed technology ![]() You could achieve around the same mark as the XU10J4RS engines on low boost chargers.. You may get problems since your AFRs are going to be a bit more inconsistent, so maybe 220-230bhp... But if you tune it conservatively and always keep an eye on AFRs, you'd be absolutely fine. Do it.
