Turbo Boost and model - scottbmxer - 09-07-2012 Only getting max boost around 16/17 psi with the wastegate arm on last 2 turns and running max fuel! Also any ideas on which turbo I have?? 306 dturbo s xud 1998 S-reg Scott RE: Turbo Boost and model - 4WayDiablo - 09-07-2012 Could be a worn wastegate being pushed open or a boost leak Don't know what turbo it is though. Being a later model I'd think ko3 or similar RE: Turbo Boost and model - Jenkosowls - 09-07-2012 turbo seems rather leaky RE: Turbo Boost and model - scottbmxer - 09-07-2012 Ive noticed in first or second before the the boost has just dumped at around like 3500 4000 revs causing the car to slow down massively like I put the brakes on! going down motorway and stuff it will stay at a constant boost no problem Btw when I mean max fuel i mean 45degree's or slightly more on lucas pump! RE: Turbo Boost and model - strictly_perv - 09-07-2012 The manifold looks different to my old T2 and k14 so i'm guessing it's a GT15 RE: Turbo Boost and model - ash23 - 09-07-2012 That's a k03 should got more out of it than that mines boosting 1.4bar . RE: Turbo Boost and model - 4WayDiablo - 09-07-2012 What you mean before "the boost has just dumped" RE: Turbo Boost and model - scottbmxer - 11-07-2012 (09-07-2012, 09:10 PM)4WayDiablo Wrote: What you mean before "the boost has just dumped" sometimes the boost just dumps around those revs in first and maybe second! I just loose all pressure and it slows the car down massively like I have put on the brakes. And fit a MBC to adjust boost easier RE: Turbo Boost and model - ginge191 - 11-07-2012 (09-07-2012, 09:10 PM)ash23 Wrote: That's a k03 should got more out of it than that mines boosting 1.4bar . 28psi here (1.9 bar) on a K03 here! But sounds like a busted turbo; I shouldn't cut off, at higher rpm, the turbo will start to loose boost.. RE: Turbo Boost and model - David - 11-07-2012 if it is a busted turbo then drive it normally but i say its bigger turbo time ![]() RE: Turbo Boost and model - scottbmxer - 12-07-2012 Was going to upgrade to a T2 what do you think?? RE: Turbo Boost and model - samass - 12-07-2012 go big, or go home. td04 or the like ![]() not that i know anything about dervs, but from what i know, the t2 is the 'best' standard turbo they put on. might as well get a big un on it for more gains and whatnot RE: Turbo Boost and model - 4WayDiablo - 12-07-2012 Pretty much what amass says.:-) |
