B4/Eibach with GTI6 Rear Axle - MY95 - 20-01-2017 Just bought the B4/Eibach setup to go with my refurbed GTI axle with the 20/24mm standard bars on my HDI, what are the spring rates for the eibachs compared to the gti rear axle 20mm tb? Would this be fine or will the front now be a bit stiffer than the rear and should I try and get a 21mm rear tb? Cheers guys RE: B4/Eibach with GTI6 Rear Axle - MY95 - 21-01-2017 Anyone have any more info/advice? I know the spring rate for the 20mm tb is 135lbs but unsure on the eibachs? Have an idea its around 80-200lbs progressively digging out old threads from other forums. RE: B4/Eibach with GTI6 Rear Axle - Poodle - 24-01-2017 Iirc having it softer at the rear will encourage understeer, so depends how hard you drive it and what you want from the chassis. Suck it and see, you may decide you like it. RE: B4/Eibach with GTI6 Rear Axle - MY95 - 24-01-2017 Ive found the rear is softer and rolls more than the front, but have only had a 30 min drive of the car since fitting. Does seem pretty stiff/harsh though. |
