Mileage and speed rev dials FIXED - Welshy_Pete - 06-03-2016 Hello I noticed on my 306 hdi sometimes when starting the car near the mileage clock it will show like a alarm clock or timer thing. The rev and speed counter both move up from 0 to the same place near max higher up then go back down to normal? Just seeing what this means? Thanks RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - cully - 06-03-2016 poor battery voltage to the clocks could be a few things from bad earths bad connections poor battery RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - Magenta Sunset - 06-03-2016 mine does that too sometimes. I take the view the battery is a bit low. got myself a dash solar panel to compensate a little. RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - Welshy_Pete - 06-03-2016 I've checked the battery while engine running and off the battery 13v+ when off when on 15v+ so the battery good. I've cleaned the connections on the battery, 2 earth's below the battery also earth near driver front headlamp. There anymore earths or connections to try and clean. RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - cully - 06-03-2016 + connection on the alternator when my clocks did the dance the wire was burned off the alternator RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - Magenta Sunset - 06-03-2016 (06-03-2016, 11:06 AM)cully Wrote: + connection on the alternator nice one! RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - Welshy_Pete - 19-03-2016 Ive sprayed wd40 everywhere the problem cleared up now thanks. RE: Mileage and speed rev dials - welshpug - 19-03-2016 shouldn't have 15+ on the battery!!! you need a new rectifier on the back of the alternator |
