XU10 oil gallery tappings - C2K - 14-11-2015 Anyone got a photo of an XU10 undressed on the front? I'm led to believe there are two tappings that can be used for oil gauges, but I can only find this pic in my archives. I need to fit two sensors. ![]() As you can see one is marked up, anyone know where the other one is or got a photo with them marked up?? A is the oil pressure light switch iirc. Cheers RE: XU10 oil gallery tappings - Niall - 14-11-2015 Use the one you have marked as M16 blank On mine i use the original one above the oil filter for the dash switch (marked A on yours) and the blank for a pressure sensor for my gauge. RE: XU10 oil gallery tappings - cully - 14-11-2015 im using the std sensor at A, and I have a remote tapping for a sensor and switch at the M16 blank the blank is 16 x 1.5mm ![]() ![]() RE: XU10 oil gallery tappings - C2K - 15-11-2015 Anyone know what the thread at A is? I'll probably double that up, and put the temp probe into the blank. I don't want it on a dead leg particularly. Shit the bed cully those sensors are massive. I had the same arrangement on my Rover for the oil pressure but tapped the sump plug out for temperature. I wonder if i still have the sensors off my old block. ![]() Edit: M16x1.5 again accordings to servicebox. ![]() RE: XU10 oil gallery tappings - cully - 15-11-2015 whats wrong with the oil temp sensor in the sump pan? RE: XU10 oil gallery tappings - C2K - 15-11-2015 Nothing wrong with it per se, but I already have a dual digital pressure/temperature gauge from S.P.A from my previous car, and intend to hook both sensors up to compliment it - you can program alarm lights for P and T. More a case of using what I have already. Plus handy if i'm in the passenger seat as opposed to just drivers. ![]() |
